Position Overview:

 

Middle School Math Teacher is a full-time role at Reaching All Minds Academy (RAMA). The candidate should be passionate about educating and impacting the lives of students; create a positive and engaging learning environment; and prioritize the growth and achievement of students.  The ideal candidate will be innovative, driven, resourceful, and focused on student growth.  The Middle School Math Teacher position will report directly to RAMA’s Principal and Director of Curriculum.  This position will be a full-time position (45 hours per week).  The Middle School Math Teacher will be required to be at RAMA Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

 

Reaching All Minds Academy is a charter school in Durham County with the mission to prepare students to become productive citizens with the skills needed to solve complex problems, think critically, exhibit positive social competencies, and to function in a highly technological and global society. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid NC Teaching License
  • 3+ years of experience teaching Middle School Mathematics

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons based upon schoolwide curriculums
  • Evaluate and collect student academic and behavior data
  • Communicate and inspect high academic and personal expectations
  • Facilitate small group instruction
  • Provide differentiated learning activities
  • Be intentional in providing learning activities that address multiple learning styles
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in grade-level and school wide meetings, activities, and functions
  • Perform non-instructional duties as assigned
